CMEC hosted a Libya Programme roundtable event last night entitled: What next for Libya?
Crispin Blunt MP (Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee), Con Coughlin (Daily Telegraph Defence Editor) and and Kwasi Kwarteng MP (CMEC Vice Chairman) engaged in a wide ranging discussion that considered the current situation in and future of Libya.
They looked at the legacy of the 2011 military intervention in Libya, the current split in political power in the country between rival governments, and the status of the Libyan National Army (LNA) commanded by General Khalifa Haftar.
The event was chaired by CMEC Director Leo Docherty.
